Meet the Directors
John Blease
John first started the business of Concrete Solutions 2003 Ltd back in 2003. He is now joint Director and Shareholder with his son Jay. John has a background in Sales, Marketing and Management and has been involved in the concrete industry for a number of years which led him to start his own business.
Concrete Solutions 2003 Ltd was heavily involved in the 'Rebuild' after the earthquakes of 2010 & 2011. From there the business has grown under Johns guidance, but has been kept to a small but professional team of 12.
As retirement is looming, John is stepping back from the physical side of the business, which enables him to fully support Jay in his future development of the company. John still remains very much involved in the administrative side and is normally the first point of contact with our clients, thus building a good report due to his easy manner and 'anything is possible' approach.
Jay Blease
Jay is a Director and Shareholder of Concrete Solutions 2003 Ltd. He started his career as a qualified Spray Painter, but joined the team in 2012, gained his Class 2, 4 and Wheels, Tracks and Rollers licences, which enabled him to learn the ropes of the construction / excavation side of the business. This has given Jay a strong practical grounding and experience from the ground up, which carries through to his leadership of the company.
Jay is married with two young children and has been a Director of the company since 2024. He has a hands-on role, which sees him leading the excavation team, whilst also being more involved in the day to day running of the business.
Jay's forward-thinking and his ability to communicate and build relationships with people from all backgrounds is a key strength of his. Nothings a problem, there is always a solution.
